Getting Dad Involved In The Baby Shower
Co ed baby showers are becoming more and more popular as new Dads are wanting to be involved in every aspect of the pregnancy and upcoming birth. Getting 4 or 5 couples to commit to coming to the shower and getting involved in the games will ensure a great time is had by everybody.
Here's a handful of games I've seen at co ed baby showers:
1. Grab a handful of old magazines, some paper and glue, and have all the guests cut out random facial features and attempt to make the best or funniest or most clever image of what they think your new born will look like. It gets a bit untidy but it's super funny, especially at co-ed baby showers.
2. You can play pin the baby on the Mom. Print off pictures of a number of babies then blindfold your guests and have them attempt to scotch tape the pictures to your tummy. Obviously the Mom to be does not want to feel uncomfortable if a picture gets taped to a body part that will cause embarrasement so be discreet about this one.
3. Get all guests to bring in their baby pictures of themselves and the goal is to guess who belongs to which photo.
4. Everyone gets a wristband (use a piece of string long enough so it can be worn around the wrist) with five baby pins on it when they arrive. The thing is, you can't say the word "baby". If you do, and someone catches you on it, they can take one of your pins. Whoever has the most pins at the conclusion of the party wins a neat prize.
5. Everyone has to take a guess and cut a length of ribbon to fit around the expectant mom's tummy. The one who gets it closest wins a prize.
6. You can buy cheap baby bottles with teats (one for every person), fill them with a particular drink, and then the race is on to see who can drink their bottle the quickest.
7. Guessing the flavours of varying baby or infant foods. Seriously, this gets hilariously funny if you get a couple that taste disgusting.
8. And finally here is one of my favourites that's completely random: Simply place paper plates on top of each guests head, give them a pen and instruct them to draw the baby on top of the plate but there is no peeping and the plate has to remain on top of their heads.
There you have 8 games that can be played at any co ed baby shower. Not too daggy for the guys but guaranteed to have the fellas laughing all the way.
